Overview

Yunshis TMF8829 dTOF Sensor is a high-resolution direct time-of-flight (dToF) sensor designed for 3D sensing and distance measurement in robotics and embedded systems. It supports configurable resolution modes from 8x8 up to 48x32 (1536 zones) to balance depth detail and computing requirements.

Key Features

  • Configurable multi-zone resolution: up to 48 x 32 (1536 zones); configurable modes include 8x8 and 16x16.
  • Wide detection range: 1 cm to 11 m.
  • Wide-angle field of view: 80 deg (diagonal).
  • High accuracy: 0.25 mm.
  • Compact package size: 5.7 x 2.9 x 1.5 mm for tight integration spaces.
  • Interfaces: I2C, I3C, SPI (SPI supports high-speed raw data output for algorithm development).
  • 940 nm and SPAD are referenced for the TMF8829 sensor.
  • Evaluation software UI references: TMF8829 EVM GUI shows 2D Depth Map, 3D Scatter Plot, 2D Intensity Image, and Histograms.
