The Victron Energy Orion 25A Buck-Boost DC-DC converter is a secondary battery charging solution designed specifically for vehicles equipped with intelligent (Euro 5/Euro 6) alternators. Because these alternators don't always generate an ideal charging voltage, this converter adapts and regulates voltage between 10–30V, supporting 12V, 24V, and combined 12V/24V systems, while also protecting the alternator from overcharging — an important safeguard when charging a lithium battery.

Built-in engine start detection ensures the converter only delivers power while the engine is running, prioritizing battery charging and preventing excessive discharge.
